Clubs support Riley with treats

Social studies teacher Dr. Chris Edwards was one of the many teachers in attendance who brought along his wife and children to enjoy the fundraiser. Edwards is most proud of what the Riley Dance Marathon kids do in relation with Riley Hospital.
“Its really fantastic. I’m glad to see the size of this turnout, and my kids are having a blast. Miss Bailey and Miss Sturgill have put on a really great and enormous show here,” Edwards said.
Teachers from the art department and members of Art Club helped put together a small “haunted house” for the children. There were also carnival-like games and contests.
“It took around four hours to finish the haunted house. Art Club and Riley Dance members came and helped us decorate, and so far, it’s been a big hit and a lot better turnout than last year,” art teacher Danielle Ontiveros said.
Among the many volunteers from several of the school’s clubs, sophomore Hannah Majorie of FFA was happy to support the event.
“I’m having a lot of fun helping,”she said, “It’s a great way to get FFA out to these younger kids, and to get FFA out to the school.”
